Also referred to as "The Edgeknight", Jack is a brash young kid resurrected from the dead and unceremoniously drafted to combat the earthbound minions of Hell. While extremely effective at hunting devils due to the gifts bestowed upon him by heaven's warmasters, Jack is extraordinarily irresponsible, bratty, mean, and motivated towards thievery.

Nobody knows more about the benefits of cannabis than King Willy, eternal spirit of the Sacred Herb and not-so-proud guardian angel and counsel to Jack. King Willy smokes a seemingly neverending supply of fat doobies which have various effects depending on context, most notably allowing Jack to visit Lost Heaven upon taking a hit.

Fairly young by angel standards, Aryel is nevertheless given the major responsibility of handling Jack's affairs both in heaven and earth. She often finds herself dealing with more trouble than necessary with the higher-ups, particularly when Jack causes some wanton disaster to occur on earth that requires extensive political cover and damage control.

Nimrod is actually the historical Nimrod, despot of ancient Mesopotamia, recondensed into a digital entity and assigned to Jack's service. Typical of former authoritarians, Nimrod hates being subordinate to Jack and has passive-aggressive tendencies. Regardless, Nimrod usually helps Jack in the end since their well-beings are linked.

Elvy would be like most girls minus the natural teal color of her hair, her reality-warping telekinetic brain, and her oft-hinted otherworldly origins. She's an unexpected wild card in Jack's home, prone to innocent displays of her freakish talents, her ability to see and interact with the supernatural, and her intense unwillingness to return home to her family.

Profit tends to motivate Karesha more than anything else although she can't help focusing her talents on anything involving mechanics and junk. Karesha usually babysits Elvy in Jack's absence, to the point that she's practically a live-in nanny. One would suspect Jack hires her for purposes other than babysitting, but she unfailingly spurns his clumsy advances.

Whether you want unlicensed cyber-implants, the latest in bootleg nano-gear, or a quick techno-induced high, look no further than Princess Tail and her crew. Tail's fiery adolescence and coming-of-age innocence belie her unintended position as one of New York's top crime lords, and will sometimes lose her better judgment in a mix of raging hormones and alcohol.

A policegirl with a storied past, Riotgirl, known to her friends as "Yessy" or "RG", is a deadly mix of power, finesse, and rock-solid determination and ambition. She leads her own squad known as Team Maidenhand, whose reputation for surgical efficiency has been built over several years. It was only recently that her group's pride has been cracked by a chance encounter with Jack.

Zelda ranks as Princess Tail's top lieutenant and has extensive experience running the gang's daily business and operations. She has a sisterly relationship to Tail and makes it the highest priority to shield her from the nastier elements of the underworld; a promise she made to Tail's mother, the legendary Queen Tail.

Amber, known on the streets as "Miss Amber", is Princess Tail's personal and most lethal soldier. Having grown up with Zelda and Tail, Amber is driven to kill out of sense of family rather than profit. With her disarming grace and ensorcelling eyes, she is a meek yet calculating angel of death in the bloody underworld of tech-crime.
